Lucky and Sky

Hi everyone! The sweet parakeet duo, Lucky (green, male) and Sky (blue, female) are settling into their foster home this week. Although their owners loved these birds very much, they felt the pair deserved more attention than their busy schedules allowed for the birds. They contacted Florida Parrot Rescue for help finding their perfect forever home. <br/><br/>These cute little ones enjoy playing with their toys, chirping and trilling to each other and bickering about who gets to perch in the best spot in the cage (it's quite clear that the opinion of "best perch spot" changes regularly). Lucky's age is unknown as he was rescued during a rain storm a few years ago but the owner was never found. Sky is about 3 years old and was brought into the home to befriend Lucky as he seemed a bit lonely. They are a bonded pair and have to be adopted and kept together. <br/><br/>The pair are not hand tamed at this time but seem very interested when their foster mom is talking and interacting with them. Their foster mom thinks they will come around and be people social fairly quickly. Right now, they are sampling some pellets varieties and high-quality seed mixes. They are not interested in the chop offerings yet. They do enjoy cooked egg whites, parsley, broccoli and shredded carrots that have been offered separately. <br/><br/>This duo is ready to find their forever home where they will be loved by their new family.
