Lucky's Story

Lucky is a red-fronted macaw, about 22 years old. He takes time to warm up to new people. But once he trusts you, he is sociable and snuggly, and will ride on your shoulder. He enjoys head & neck rubs, head bumps, dancing to music and chatting up a storm.

Antibodies indicate Lucky has been exposed to avian borna virus, although he does not have an active infection. He is lively and has good body mass. He is on medication to decrease his plucking and regurgitation. Although he will probably not refeather completely, he does have some new feather growth.

Comes with cage, adoption fee $600 + $30 membership. Must be within driving distance of Salt Lake City.
