He’s very animated and will often ask if he can go outside when given the chance.

We will only place Kiwi with an experienced cockatoo owner. At one time, Kiwi was fully tame, but after a traumatic event in his previous home, he became more cage-bound. These days, he spends his daytime hours outside in the aviaries having a blast, but he still needs one-on-one trust building with a skilled handler.

He has a healthy appetite and loves his fruits and veggies, but more than anything, he needs a dedicated and experienced companion.

Kiwi’s adoption fee is reasonable and includes his large cage and our generous care package. However, we will only rehome him with someone who has true cockatoo experience and who does not share walls with neighbors (cockatoos can be very loud!).

If you’re ready to adopt Kiwi, please visit our website and submit your application. Once we receive it, we will contact you by email to schedule a phone interview before arranging a meet-and-greet. Please check your email regularly so we can coordinate quickly — we work on a tight timeline, and time spent on unprepared adopters may result in a parrot losing its forever home.

We cannot take advance phone calls, and we do not answer questions without a completed adoption application. This ensures we are speaking only with qualified adopters, not casual shoppers.

Important Notes:

Please be prepared to adopt within 72 hours of submitting your application.

Kiwi’s adoption includes his large cage, a generous care package, and a brand-new custom parrot carrier.

Please refrain from calling after submitting your application; we will email you as soon as possible with the next steps.

Thank you for your patience and understanding of our process.
