Huey, Duey & Luey's Story

Meet Huey, Duey & Luey – Special Pineapple Conures Looking for Solo Flights
Huey, Duey, and Luey are nearly 2-year-old clutch mates ready for their next adventure—separately! These birds are not sexed so gender is unconfirmed. Now that they’ve reached sexual maturity, they need individual homes to prevent nesting behaviors and let their sweet personalities shine.

Each of these “boys” has a congenital condition called splay leg—a physical issue where the legs are positioned abnormally due to genetics or early development. It may mean their cage needs a few tweaks, but trust us: nothing slows them down. They’re fast, feisty, and full of mischief.

They’re not hand-tame (yet!), but they’re curious, goofy, and love to watch what’s going on around them. They’d do well in a home that wants to work toward taming, or one that simply enjoys bird antics from a distance.
They’ve transitioned beautifully to a healthy diet of fresh foods, pellets, and the occasional pasta or grain treat.

Some notes:
Being housed together has led to some tail over-grooming, but all are showing great new feather growth
They’re flock animals—best for homes with another bird (in a separate cage) or someone home often to give them company

Adoption fee is $100 per bird
Must be adopted individually
Require a spacious cage with modified perching
These “boys” are bursting with potential and ready for their forever homes. Whether you want a future cuddle-bug or just a colorful companion to chat with—Huey, Duey, or Luey could be your perfect match.
Apply to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/243494963032258

#birdrescue #pineappleconure #specialneedsbird #splayleg #conurelove #adoptabird #myrtleanimalrescue #birdsoftiktok #birdsofinstagram #flocklife #rescuebird #canadianrescue #stthomasontario #birdadoption #myrtlecares #birdwatchersunite #exoticbirdoftheday
