Greta and Ollie found love later in life, when they met in their foster home! Greta is a pigeon racing survivor who may also have been used as a breeding bird before being cruelly dumped. Ollie is a senior king pigeon who survived the squab meat industry twice, first being one of the rare few who wasn’t slaughtered and then reaching his golden years as a breeding bird before he was cast aside much like Greta was. Perhaps their similar experiences in their harsh first lives drew them together as they help each other heal emotionally and find joy in the companionship of kind people! Greta is a super sweet pigeon who loves to be held and cuddled by her human friends. Her favorite spot is in front of a window, she loves to watch what’s going on outside. She also loves preening Ollie and building their nest. Ollie loves to explore his foster home, and is very food motivated! You can be sure to win his favor with his favorite treats! Ollie also enjoys admiring his big, fluffy, handsome self in the mirror. Greta and Ollie are experiencing a second youth in their new home, and have discovered they love playing with toys, especially bells and wicker balls!
