Finch 14's Story

Looking to add some gentle beauty and cheerful chirps to your home? Consider adopting a finch! These small, active birds are known for their soft songs, vibrant feathers, and lively personalities. Finches are a joy to watch as they flit about, interact with one another, and explore their surroundings.

Finches do best in pairs or small groups and thrive in a spacious cage with plenty of perches, toys, and room to fly. That’s why we are requiring that they be adopted in pairs. They’re low-maintenance and ideal for bird lovers who enjoy observing rather than handling, as finches typically prefer the company of their own kind over direct human interaction.

If you’re ready to provide a safe, enriching environment and the daily care these delicate little birds need, a finch could be the perfect addition to your flock—or the start of one!

If you’d like to meet our available pets, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
