Eric and his friends Nate and Walter's Story

Walter, Nate and Eric are 3 bonded male Cockatiels of unknown age. They came to us when their owner passed away.

When this trio first joined PEARL, they were not interested in being handled, but they are curious birds who seem to enjoy being in the room with people. After a few weeks with their foster family, the boys (also lovinging knicknamed as Teil Team 3) are starting to get more comfortable. They are now used to hands in their cage for changing out food and water bowls as well as cleaning.

All are eating a great diet of pellets and chop. They enjoy seed sticks and millets as treats. They are eating well and their foster family is starting the process of getting them to take some millet from a hand through their cage to build trust. Teil Tream 3 make happy chirps when they are around the their foster family and Nate and Walter fall asleep when their foster dad plays the Yukulaili for them.

Walter is a White-face, Nate is grey and Eric has a lot of yellow on him.

PEARL Parrot Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for considering adopting your new feathered companion through PEARL Parrot Rescue. It is estimated that approximately 85% of birds purchased are rehomed or abandoned within the first two years of ownership. By considering adoption you are helping put an end to this crisis affecting companion parrots in the United States. In order to adopt from PEARL, all potential adopters must complete our three step adoption process. This includes an application, participation in our Standards of Care Class, and consent to a home check. Regardless of whether you have had or currently have birds, classes are required. We want to ensure that all our potential adopters are equipped with the knowledge to properly care for a parrot. During these classes we discuss our expectations on caging, diet, enrichment, training, and so much more.
