Conure Pair: Pistachio's Story

Pistachio is an adventurous guy and loves to explore. He has fun chewing through his toys, especially when they have a treat inside! Pistachio can be skittish around people and especially around hands, but will gladly accept a treat. He and Pineapple enjoy hanging out nearby while their human goes about their day. Both are fully flighted and enjoy occasional flights during supervised out of cage time.

Pistachio is protective over Pineapple and the two should be adopted to a home without other birds.

Pineapple and Pistachio are a bonded pair who must be adopted together. These two conures love each other very much. They respond well to training and are becoming more socialized by the day. Pineapple will gladly take a treat from his foster mom and recently learned to step up to her hand when asked. Pistachio steps up for his foster mom after some training. Their $300 adoption fee is for both of them.

Pineapple & Pistachio are a bonded pair of Green Cheek Conures who love each other very much and must be adopted and stay together. PEARL Parrot Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for considering adopting your new feathered companion through PEARL Parrot Rescue. It is estimated that approximately 85% of birds purchased are rehomed or abandoned within the first two years of ownership. By considering adoption you are helping put an end to this crisis affecting companion parrots in the United States. In order to adopt from PEARL, all potential adopters must complete our three step adoption process. This includes an application, participation in our Standards of Care Class, and consent to a home check. Regardless of whether you have had or currently have birds, classes are required. We want to ensure that all our potential adopters are equipped with the knowledge to properly care for a parrot. During these classes we discuss our expectations on caging, diet, enrichment, training, and so much more.
