Clove

The rain never stopped that day... a relentless, frigid Chicago rain! It ground the usually busy city sidewalks to an eerie halt. Huddled in the corner of a building was a pigeon attempting to shelter from the abysmal weather. The pigeon did not move, but sat in a solitary shivering position. Most passerby gave no notice. Emaciated and far too weak, Clove could only hope for a miraculous intervention. Possibly guided by a greater force, a kind person observed Clove and discovered our rescue just in time . Needing immediate medical attention for his malnourished condition, our volunteers also found Clove was a sweet senior citizen pigeon. Even more heartbreaking knowing that a senior domestic pigeon was left abandoned and alone!! Now returning to his gentle and pleasingly large self, Clove is in need of a BFF with whom he can spend pleasant days and make happy memories. I think there is a smile on his face telling the world how completely satisfied and at peace he would be in a loving forever home!
