Cleo & Garcia's Story
ALL ADOPTERS MUST LIVE WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF EDGERTON, WI 53534
To meet any of Feathered Friends Sanctuary & Rescue birds, a complete questionnaire is REQUIRED.
Please go to our website www.feathered-friends.com/adoption for more information and to submit the questionnaire.

Have you met Cleo & Garcia?

Cleo and Garcia arrived at our sanctuary in 2009! These two are very bonded and will only be adopted out together. They have not shown us any mating behaviors, nor have they produced any eggs. They seem to find comfort in one another, and can often be seen preening each other in all of those hard-to-reach spots.

Garcia shows more of an interest in strangers than Cleo, who usually sulks behind him and will hide for comfort. However, once you can coax one of them from the cage, the other is usually antsy and ready to come out as well. We have not seen any aggressive behavior from either of these two.

The pair acts very shy initially, but they can be found chattering between themselves and whispering into each other's ears. When there is nobody around, they will sneakily climb to the bottom of their cage and immediately mess up any papers that were freshly laid. If caught, they run back up to their perch and act like statues, as if nothing happened.

They are estimated to be around 40 years old, with their genders unknown. Cleo wears the leg band while Garcia does not.

Their favorite treats are cashews, apples, oranges, and peppers.

While Cleo and Garcia may not be among our most handleable parrots here, they make up for it by being the funniest.

They are a very curious pair who will need a patient and experienced owner. Cockatoo experience is strongly preferred given that they are not only a bonded pair of cockatoos, but that they are very stubborn and nervous.

Are you a patient and experienced parrot handler looking to expand your home? Fill out a questionnaire and come meet these two!

We will not have ANY discussions about our birds without an approved questionnaire.
We will NOT respond to emails sent from here.
Please go to www.feathered-friends.com/adoption for more info.
