Cinder & Ember's Story

Cinder & Ember are two Blue Swedish ducks rescued from imminent death on a lake in Allentown, PA. They were likely born in June 2022! They were cruelly abandoned on that lake as peeping baby ducklings. Today they are healthy, tested parasite-free, and ready for their forever home.

Ember is a female and Cinder is a male. Cinder has a dark head and a drake feather on his tail. Ember is lighter and has a long streak of white eyeliner. They are truly adorable. They are skittish around people but get along great with other ducks! They would be perfect with an existing flock.

They love to splash in the water and spend time together. These two must be adopted together since they are bonded siblings. Adopters must have a predator-proofed daytime area that offers protection from aerial predators like hawks, and a predator-proofed nighttime coop or house for sleeping in. They must also have access to space to roam and clean water for swimming and cleaning their faces.

If you are interested in adopting these sweet babies and giving them the love, care, and safety they deserve, please apply below! Duck beginners welcome. We will provide any and all advice and guidance after adoption.

---

Please fill out an application below to get started. Please do not apply if you have a pond, as they are not safe for domestic ducks that have been bred to be so large and slow. Domestic ducks are at major risk of hawk attacks and turtle attacks on ponds.

APPLICATION:
https://forms.gle/Gr712tt5Jwnc5KwJ8

ADOPTION FEE (check, cash, Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp):
$50

INQUIRIES:
hello@sweetpeacesanctuary.org
