Charlie's Story

Meet Miss Charlie!

Miss Charlie has been patiently waiting for her forever home for three whole years, and while she’s not in a rush (she’s very busy being herself), she’s ready for the right person to notice her quiet magic, even when she's not being very quiet.

She’s a sweet, timid soul with a strong sense of personal boundaries and an even stronger opinion about how things should be done—namely, on her terms.

Charlie does not care for being handled, thank you very much, but she does care deeply about her favorite foods (seed and pellet mix) and treats (millet and Nutri-Berries), which she expects to be delivered with respect and punctuality.

An independent lady through and through, Charlie believes in autonomy, free choice, and open-door policies. Her dream home includes being in the main living space, right in the middle of all the action, with her cage door open from morning until bedtime so she can come and go as she pleases. Social? Yes. Clingy? Absolutely not.

She loves her bells—like, loves them. And she is very smart. So smart, in fact, that she will ring her bell incessantly to let you know when something in her life requires immediate attention (snacks, vibes, snacks again). Ignore the bell at your own risk.

Charlie enjoys the company of other birds and likes to be near them… near, but not too near. She’s excellent at communicating boundaries and will politely (or not-so-politely) inform anyone who forgets her personal bubble size.

If you’re someone who appreciates a bird with character, independence, and a heart that opens slowly but sincerely—someone who doesn’t need cuddles to feel connected—Miss Charlie might just be your perfect match. She’s not here to be owned; she’s here to be respected, adored from a distance, and served snacks on schedule.

Adopt Charlie if you’re ready to share your space with a tiny, bell-ringing queen who knows exactly who she is!

Charlie would love a "Welcome to Foster" gift.
