Charlie's Story

Hi everyone! My name is Charlie, and I am a very sweet Cockatiel. I am approximately 8 years old. My owner passed away and now I am waiting for FPR to find me my new forever home.

At my first vet appointment, it was discovered I have a lump on my wing. The vet completed a wing aspiration, and it showed no definitive diagnosis or pathology. Luckily, I am not showing any signs of pain, nor do I pick at or bother it.

FPR was told that prior to being with my owner who passed away, I was in a home with children who were very grabby. It may be due to this that I do not like to be handled and continue to be a nervous bird. However, I am very easy-going as I just like to have my cage opened so I can come out and go in as I please during the day. I feel safest and most comfortable in or around my cage.

After I am uncovered in the morning, my foster mom will open my cage landing for the day, and I will climb out and hang outside and go back in when I want. I am really interested in my foster brother who is also a Cockatiel. I come out of my cage more often since he arrived so I can see him. I would love to go to a home where I can have a cockatiel friend to spend my time with!

I am a laid-back girl who just enjoys sitting in my cage and playing with my toys, especially bells...I LOVE bells! If you would love some companionship and would like to meet me, fill out an application below!

Charlie would love a "Welcome to Foster" gift.
