Charles's Story

Charles is a male Cape Parrot who we believe is 15+ years old. His previous home included children but his main caretaker was a woman. Although he appears to prefer women, he is friendly around other people and has the ability to warm up to others as he becomes comfortable in his environment.

His foster indicates that he does not seem bothered by her 3 cats; both Charles and the cats ignore each other and are not placed in contact with each other.
He loves to be taken out of his cage in the mornings, and given almonds in the shell so he can crack them himself. He also loves a treat of nutri-berries.

Charles loves head scratches and to step up for his foster. He will occasionally go onto her shoulder. He also likes to just hang out on top of his cage and walk around.

Charles’ foster is unsure how he may be with other birds, but considering how he seems to be with the cats, he may be fine in another home with other birds present.

Adoption Fee: $350.00
