We got him from my husbands mother 4 years ago as a "temporary" situation, and still have him. I'm working more and more in the office and my husband is out often as well.<br/>Provide us with any additional information that may help a candidate show interest in your bird.<br/>He has a big cage, but he has never been out of it. He doesn’t like anyone handling him, so we’ve left him alone. While he did when he was younger, he is no longer interested in playing with toys or anything, ladders, bells, rope, etc. He does love his mirror, though. He loves listening to music (we have the radio on often for him), and will whistle along to songs or at strategic points (always when he hears a whistle on the radio). His favorite is Love is a Battlefield by Pat Benatar – no lie – he can’t wait for the end to whistle when he hears it. He likes Billy Joel piano music and Michael Jackson. Seriously - he perks up when he hears different songs and music, it's like he knows the artist. Depending on his mood, he’s been an interactive guy – whistling back and “talking” to us at times. He has a favorite food, which I've identified, and gets clean, bottled water twice daily. He goes to bed at night around 9:30 (we cover his cage and have a night-light on next to him for lighting), and gets up anywhere between 8 and 9. His cage is by the front window, so he has something to look out during the day.<br/><br/>We adopted him from an acquaintance in 2007 and were told he was about 2 years old, maybe? He was with my mother-in-law from 2007 through 2021, and with us since then.
