Baby's Story

Meet Baby the Senegal Parrot.

Baby is an adult male Senegal who likes a quiet home where he can chill out on top of his cage or on a stand. He doesn’t show well because he’s nervous around new people but given the opportunity he can be a wonderful bird who enjoys head scratches, toys and food!

He’s on a fresh food (veggies, fruit, sprouts) and pellet with nuts, nutriberries, freeze dried diet. Almonds slivers go a long way with him. We also offer goodies from Christine’s Chop Shop and Parrotsrus

If interested your first step is to fill out our online adoption application on our website, www.ahelpingwing.org. Our process is about multiple visits, looking for a connection between the bird & adopter.

Adoption application http://ahelpingwing.org/adoption-application

Like us on Instagram! @ahelpingwing
Like us on Facebook! @ahelpingwing

A Helping Wing Parrot Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step in our process is to complete the online application on our website at ahelpingwing.org After I receive, we will be in touch to review your information and with any questions we may have. There are multiple visits required to interact with the bird you connect with. Your first visit is what I compare to speed dating, you will meet many wonderful and sweet birds and we see who you connect with, attention is paid for how birds respond, we base our adoptions on the birds input and tell all adopters that when we let the bird choose, it's always a good match! During the visit time frame, we typically perform a home visit as well. The home visit is a great chance to review bringing home a rescue bird, where to setup cages, dangers in the home that many people may not consider, diet, daily routines, etc.
