Babka's Story

Gather round children ...so you can hear. A tale of a pigeon called Babka...left alone with 2 friends in a parking lot! Babka was gentle, compassionate, mild-mannered, and serene. Just like any grandparent should be. All the young "pidgies" at the coop loved to cuddle beneath Babka's soft cozy wings while stories were told of interesting things. Babka speaks many languages besides pigeon...Ukranian, Russian, and a bit of Yiddish! Then one day Babka, Lavash and Shokupan disappeared from the racing loft as they were abandoned by their racing owner for their senior status. I am joyful to report all 3 senior pigeons are "safe and sound" with GLPR, awaiting for their forever homes. Can you make their dreams come true?

Great Lakes Pigeon Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our adoption fee is $40 for a single pigeon or a married pair of pigeons. We offer shipping for an additional charge. Our adoptable pigeons have received necessary medical care to ensure they are strong and healthy. Adoption fees go toward these expenses and toward rescuing and caring for other pigeons.
