Adrian Coo-dini's Story

Adrian was brought to us in the fall of 2026 when someone called us about a pigeon that had been hanging out in their yard for a few days and did not seem wary of people. Kristin, one of our rehabbers, rushed over to investigate and sure enough, there he was casually perched on a windowsill. When Kristin reached out to pick him up, he did not argue. It was as if he was saying, “about time! I’ve been waiting for you to show up!”

Adrian is a stunning fancy domestic pigeon known as a Bald Headed Roller, which is a breed we think looks like a miniature bald eagle! Thankfully he was in great overall health when he arrived! With a strong appetite, no injuries, and an inquisitive personality, he immediately began charming GLPR staff with his antics. You see, Adrian is known among his caretakers, local residents, and his parole officer as “Coo-dini,” a name he earned through his incredible escape acts. Much like his namesake, this feathered escape artist has a knack for finding his way out of just about anything. Escaping is only half the fun for Adrian. Once he’s free to roam the room, he wastes no time getting to the important business of investigating absolutely everything.

A secure, escape-proof enclosure will be essential to keeping this clever guy safe while still giving him the opportunity to explore and satisfy his curiosity. Adrian is eagerly awaiting a forever home with people who embrace his curious and adventurous nature!
