Aalfie

Aalfie is a clever blue and gold macaw who lives with Riley, another blue and gold. The two are extremely skilled at breaking out of cages and have learned how to open several types of locks; their current cage has a total of four closures on it now that they have worked out the first three (and broken one). After fiddling with their cage the two will eventually turn to cranking through their toys. They can chip through wood quite quickly and always seem to need more!

They have recently moved to a building with a flight attached directly to their room and have been able to get outside much more frequently. It took them a while but they have become great at stepping up for a towel so we can move them in and out. They like to roam around and sometimes start fights with other birds, so they have been given their own space within the flight where they won't cause trouble. Despite this, they seem to enjoy the company of other birds and join in with the flock when it is time to make noise.

Inquiries go to an email that is not regularly checked.
