Willow

Willow was born with a crooked neck, and she could not feed off of her mother, so she was surrendered to us. We took her to UC Davis and had X-rays done. They showed a very crooked neck, but her spinal cord is well protected, and her spine is pretty sturdy. Her muscles, especially in her shoulders, have gotten very strong to support her neck. She is a little stunted in her growth. She hasn't gotten much taller, only wider.<br/><br/>For her ongoing care, she would need to be in a small herd so she doesn't get head-butted or roughhouse in a way that could injure her neck. Ideally, we would like Willow to be adopted with Poppy, but would make an exception for the right home. She would need access to veterinary care, preferably with X-ray capability, to monitor her neck for pain as she gets older.
