Vincent's Story

Vincent spent the first years of his life wandering a 50-acre property with no real shelter, no clean food or water, and no protection from the dangers of the world around him. Along with a herd of pigs, he was left to survive in piles of trash, often seen dodging traffic on a busy nearby road. Despite multiple reports and visits from law enforcement, we weren’t legally allowed to help.

Nearly a year after we rescued a piglet named Monty on that same property, we received the call we had been waiting for: the remaining animals had been abandoned, and the Sheriff’s office asked if we could help. When we arrived, only four pigs were left. Vincent was one of them.

When we came back late that night, hoping to rescue them quietly, we found all four pigs curled up together in a makeshift shelter. Tired, dirty, but still trusting. We gently closed the gate, backed up the trailer, and brought them to safety.

Now, Vincent is finally safe at our sanctuary. He’s a big, gentle boy with a curious heart and a calm spirit. After so many years of neglect, he’s experiencing clean bedding, regular meals, and love for the very first time.

Vincent is looking for a forever home where he can roam, root, and relax in peace. He’s known hardship, but you’d never know it from his sweet, steady presence.

Vincent is ready to write a new chapter, will you be part of it?

You can fill out an adoption form here: https://heartwoodhaven.org/adoption-form/
