Forest's Story
For the first years of his life, Forest knew only survival. He roamed a 50-acre property without shelter, clean food or water, or protection from the dangers around him. Alongside a herd of pigs, Forest lived among piles of trash and was often spotted dodging traffic on a nearby busy road. Despite numerous reports and visits from law enforcement, we were powerless to intervene, until everything changed.

Nearly a year after we rescued a piglet named Monty from the same property, we received the call we had been hoping for: the remaining animals had been abandoned, and the Sheriff’s office asked for our help. When we arrived, only four pigs remained. Forest was one of them.

That night we returned to bring them to safety. We found the four pigs curled up together in a makeshift shelter. They were exhausted, filthy, but still trusting. We gently closed the gate, backed up the trailer, and brought them home.

Today, Forest is safe at our sanctuary. He’s a large, gentle boy with a peaceful spirit and a curious heart. After years of neglect, he’s finally discovering what it means to be cared for. Him and his brothers now have clean bedding, nourishing meals, and the warmth of love.

Forest is ready for the next chapter: a forever home where he can continue to heal and thrive.
