Cutie's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cutie is just a little guy, already neutered, and friendly. He is very handsome, too! He likes his tummy rubbed and will lie down right next to you if you are down sitting with him, with his head on your leg. Or if you're in a chair he'll lie under your chair. He likes to have under his chin scratched and also his ears stroked, too. He is exploring new vegetable treats, and likes that we put them in a makeshift rooting box (edible scavenger hunts are always fun!). He enjoys sleeping in his bedding straw and is so cute when he comes out with hay on his head having been all cozy burrowed in. He wags his tail and talks to you too! He is smart and learned "come" already and carrier-loads and is learning other commands/tricks. He's definitely willing to make new friends - he went nose to nose with our gentle dog, and is interested in our horses too. I recommend you read up on owning a pig - they are NOT casual pets, a good website is CCPA4Pigs.org under Adoption where they have some good info and FAQs on pig ownership. Though he might be a Pot- belly Pig (PBP) mix, not all PBP, unlikely as he is growing only a 1 lb/week, so that means he won't be huge as long as he's not overfed. He is very sweet and deserves a good home. He has the short legs, pot belly, straight tail, and upright ears of a PBP, but a bit longer snout than most. And you need to be allowed to have them in your zoning jurisdiction.
We live in the country and saw him just inside our gate on October 15 morning; so with some effort running up and down the neighborhood, we finally caught him up, thinking we were doing someone a favor and they would respond to the Found Pig signs, or our knocking on the neighbors' doors. But no. So Cutie deserves a real forever home, not our makeshift dog run. Won't you as interested pig parents consider him?
Contact 408 390-1226 or email Janice.Frazier@sbcglobal.net
Cutie in X-pen Youtube URL: http://youtu.be/HeIz44sNn9I
