Arttiee

Arttiee is a gelded male alpaca and the pictures show him before and after shearing. He was orginally used for 4-H so was used to handling when very young, but has gotten more handshy as he has been out in the fields as an adult. He will come running to you to eat out of your hands and walks nicely on a leash. At the present time, he does move away from being touched but with patience and practice, we think he would enjoy being petted and brushed again.<br/><br/>Alpacas eat hay and alpaca chow and they need shelter from the elements and a fenced pasture, but are hardy animals who enjoy being out in all weather. They enjoy grazing and dust baths, and are very curious about people and other animals, and activity going on around them. They are herd animals so Arttiee will need to be with other alpacas or other large animals. As a gelded (neutered) male, he can be housed with either males or females.
