Meet Winston and Willis
Hi, our names are Winston and Willis! Here is what would work best for us in our new home:
-Personality: Skittish, vocal, curious
-Can Live With Kids: Yes, but an adult must be our primary caregiver
-Experienced Guinea Pig Home: Not required, but we strongly recommend doing plenty of research if we will be your first guinea pigs
-Energy Level: Medium
-Can Live With Other Guinea Pigs: We are required to go home together. But as for other male pigs potentially yes, pending a slow and structured introduction process. Guinea pigs (especially males) can be territorial, so these two might prefer being your only pigs.
-Litter Box Trained: Not quite, but we can work on it!
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
-Additional Information:
Willis and Winston will need a nice roomy cage/enclosure with daily exercise. Their diet should consist of unlimited grass hay, high quality pellets, and fresh greens daily. They can also have the occasional treat (ie. guinea pig safe fruits and veggies). These two will need to go to a home where they are interacted with daily - guinea pigs are not meant to be left and forgotten about, they should be members of the family! We will ask for photographic proof of an adequate enclosure before proceeding to adoption - if you're not sure how large your enclosure should be, we suggest asking a staff member or doing some online research. If you'd like to meet Willis and Winston, the first step is filling out an application!
