Sapphire Rabbit Bunny Rabbit Mix Cream Ridge, NJ

Sapphire is one of the "Amboy 22" bunnies: A woman had moved 22 rabbits into her kitchen and was in over her head. She was not able to house the bunnies appropriately or keep up with their daily care, so she called Kind Heart. With the help of our fosters and supporters, we have been able to bring all but 2 rabbits into our care already.

Sapphire is Ruby's sister. She's about 2 years old and prior to coming into Kind Heart's care in January, had lived her entire life either in a small shed outside with 20+ other rabbits or in a tiny dog crate with several other bunnies. Luckily Ruby and Sapphire are both safe and sound with Kind Heart now. While Ruby and Sapphire are currently both in the same foster home, they are not bonded and have been separated since some of the photos. Sapphire is used to other bunnies and is comforted by their presence so we believe she'll be a great bonding candidate too!

Sapphire would be a great choice for an adopter looking for a "free roam" bunny. She currently has free roam of a bedroom and is very well behaved, even without supervision. Sapphire is affectionate towards people and likes being pet. She's relatively low key and while she does enjoy exploring new box forts and tunnels, she would also be happy to sit on the sofa watching tv with you!

Sapphire is tolerate of other rabbit-friendly animals. Sapphire's foster home does have dogs and while the dogs do not come in contact with her, we do know that a little barking doesn't phase her in the slightest!

$175 includes Sapphire, spayed and vaccinated, a playpen, litter box, bowls, hay and pellets.
