Meet Penelope
Penelope is a 4.5 year old spayed Dutch/Lionhead mix. She is very friendly and gentle. She loves attention and will prance over to soak up any affection you are willing to give her.
She was surrendered to us because there was a new family member who could not manage their asthma. Her original person had to make the heartbreaking choice to part with her.
She is a finicky eater and the only greens we can get her to eat are romaine and arugula. Luckily she likes hay. She is a little chubby, but is slimming down and getting in shape.
When she first arrived to us, her urine had some calcium sludge. She had been fed alfalfa hay in her previous home, so that was quickly eliminated. We hope to find someone who will be watchful of this. She should only be fed low calcium greens.
We think she would do best in a home where she is the only rabbit. She is not a good candidate to be a bonded partner. There was a gentle elderly dog in her foster home and that worked just fine.
Penelope was vet checked in early December, and deemed healthy. We have those medical notes.
All AARR rabbits are spayed/neutered. The adoption fee is $85/rabbit.
