Peanut Rabbit Rex PITTSBURGH, PA

Peanut is one very sweet little boy! He LOVES attention, kisses, pets and company. Peanut has such a friendly and happy demeanor. He has been very friendly to all the other animals that he has met (cats, dogs and another bunny). He also looooooves people! We had a 'bunny yoga' fundraiser event recently and Peanut was the star! He really wants someone to hop around their home with.

Peanut was surrendered to us by a family who couldn't give him the life he deserved and they wanted better for him. He was mostly living in a hutch and he is just too sweet of a bunny to live a secluded life!

Unfortunately, Peanut does have a health condition that we are still figuring out. We took Peanut to the vet for his neuter surgery shortly after he was surrendered to us. They discovered what we first thought was pneumonia. He was treated with 'top of the line' antibiotics. They didn't cure the problem, so Peanut went on a second course of antibiotics with yet again, no success. We recently took Peanut in for a radiograph and he has 'spots' of fluids throughout his lungs. After he exercises he sometimes will cough, which is rather abnormal for rabbits. Our vet is reaching out to specialists to get their thoughts, opinions and hopefully we can figure him out!

In the meantime, Peanut remains comfortable, happy and healthy otherwise. He just needs monitored exercise and we are staying tuned to our veterinarian's findings.
