Meet Nox

Nox's bunny wife Lumos recently crossed the rainbow bridge, and he would love to find someone new to look after. He is a very attentive husbun – always ready to groom and provide comfort to his mate. When Lumos was around, they would often cuddle up together. Nox always was more independent, and liked to explore, while Lumos held down the homestead. He'll go anywhere he can get to - often enjoying coming up on the sofa and hanging out with his foster mom and the two cats. Now that Lumos is gone, he's staying around the homestead a lot more. When he does come up on the sofa, he loves to kiss his foster's toes and ankles. Poor substitute for a bun-wife to groom, but he's such a sweetie who just wants someone to dote on. He clearly misses having her around, but he still hangs out on the sofa a little bit each day.

His litter habits are excellent, and he is very friendly. Although he doesn't like too much petting, once he gets to trust you, he will settle in for some nice head rubs, and neck scritches. He still enjoys jumping on his foster's back when she lays down on the floor but there's no substitute for a bunny-wife to dote on.

All food is good food! The way to Nox’s heart is through his belly, and he will routinely binky for breakfast. He and Lumos used to do the Bunny 500 together, but now that he's alone it's just a few binkies. This sweet boy is definitely happier with a friend!

He enjoys a variety of lettuce (romaine, green, red, arugula, to name a few) and any herb you can get your hands on. He licks the bowl clean, so there's not a single crumb left. His main hay is Timothy, but he does enjoy some botanical every now and again. He is a maniac for treats. Although usually gentle when he takes them from your hand, he can get over excited so he needs to always be coached a little bit when treats are around. He enjoys Martin's banana muffin treats. Since he's a little on the chonky side, he's limited on how much sweet stuff he gets, but he does enjoy dried cranberries, banana and carrot.

His bunny-belly prevents him from doing a total Superman - especially with how short his legs are! - but he definitely tries. His flops are a bit of a challenge as well, but he does his best. If he's not satisfied with his flop attempt, he just stretches out his front legs far enough for his belly to touch the floor, and then his hind legs just pop out behind him, and he says "good 'nuff for me!"

Lately, Nox has started a new meal time routine. After running around and doing a few binkies, he goes up to the top floor of his condo to get one pellet from his foster mom (by hand, he's very gentle) when she calls him over. He does a few more binkies while she goes to the kitchen and puts his salad on top. When she says "get yer bum in" he goes into his condo and does a 180° so she can put his bowl in front of him. Such a clever and funny bun!

Nox has so much love to give and we would love to see him find a loving forever home where he will be bonded to a sweet bunwife. If you have a bun that is looking for a companion, please apply to adopt him today.
