Dasher Rabbit Lop Eared Cambridge, ON

Dasher came to Rabbit Rescue after his time ran out at a local shelter. He wasn't doing well in the shelter environment, and they couldn't find a foster home for him. He was saved in the nick of time by a wonderful foster home and is now settling in.

Since arriving into foster care, Dasher has been very sweet, and loves a good head scratch - and pats in general. He's curious but cautious and does startle easily, so he needs a calm home that will work with him to build up his confidence.

Dasher has a good appetite and loves all types of food! He eats everything with gusto and gets really excited for his daily greens. He is the least picky hay eater and will happily munch on hay all day long. He's loved every toy his foster mom has given him - apple sticks, palm rollers, herbal covered loofahs etc.

Dasher would make a great free roaming bun. He has not shown any destructive tendencies and has no accidents outside of the litter box other than a couple poops in the spot where he loves to nap the most. And boy does he love to nap! Dasher is content to eat and nap and eat and nap and eat and ... well, you get the point!

Dasher is sweet, gentle, and an overall very chill bun. He's easygoing, well behaved, and gets along well with his dog foster brother.

Dasher is neutered and vaccinated against RHDV.

Dasher takes some time to be brave enough to come out of his pen, but after time he will start making a few slow, small steps out and then retreat. He will only confidently explore the area he checked out at the last roaming time before running back to the safety of his pen. He is still a bit nervous about his new surroundings but every day grows just a little more confident. With time, love and patience, he is sure to bloom into a happy, inquisitive, adventurous bun!
