Hi there! My name is Gaston. I was surrendered to the care of MUR during a spay and neuter clinic. The vet thinks I'm 8-10 years old, and I've spent all those years outdoors.

I'm getting used to this indoor life and it's pretty great! I've already totally figured out that all bathroom breaks need to be outside and I'm slowly getting more comfortable in my kennel when my foster mom goes out. Couches and dog beds are my favourite things in this new inside life! I'm a fairly low key guy but I love to have a little bit of adventure every day. I don't want to toot my own horn too much, but I'm awesome on walks. I don't pull or bark at other dogs, I just trot along with my human, happy as can be. Our daily adventure could be a short walk, a long walk, or even a full day at doggy daycare. I'm happiest when I have a chance to get out and stretch my legs at least once a day. Speaking of legs, mine are kinda short! I look a little bigger in my photos but I'm only a medium sized kinda guy.

I get along with all the dogs I meet and I could be happy in a home with or without other dog friends. The few children that I've met, I've liked, and I'm a fairly gentle guy so I'd probably like your kids too! I am not great with cats, so I shouldn't live in a home with any of them. I have a bit of anxiety when it comes to transitioning into a new environment, so I would love to have a family that would be patient with me while I adjust. I don't destroy anything, I just tend to whine until I'm comfortable.
