Meet Mae

HI! I’m Mae. I’m a six-month-old Labrador mix. I’m a very busy puppy: I like to run, play in the puppy pool, wrestle, chase my foster sisters, and just be bouncy. I do a really good impression of Tigger. Then I eat lunch and take a nap, and am ready to start all over again. I do like to sleep with my foster mom while she is sitting on the couch resting. Chasing after me is hard work.
I want a forever home with at least one playmate. I get along well with my eight foster sisters, though they all think they can boss me around. Even Ol’ Poppy and she’s sooo tiny! I’m pretty good at potty training. Better than that Ol’ Poppy, she’s too lazy to go outside. I’m pretty well crate trained as long as you follow my rules about crates. Crates are only for eating and sleeping. Sometimes Mom puts me in my crate when I’ve been naughty to give me time to “think”, whatever that is. I’ll howl if left too long.
I enjoy walks (sort of). Pops won’t let me chew on the leash. I chewed through three harnesses in four days, chewed up a pair of Mom’s sandals, and am learning to NOT chew on Mom. That’s another time I get stuck in the kennel for being naughty.
I have a big social engagement at Delta Dogs on the 28th of April. Then I’ll be spayed the next day, and I’ll be ready to be adopted by May First. Hey, that’s my name! Adopt Mae in May!
I am really excited to meet my new family. I’d like a family with older children, a furry friend to play and wrestle with, and a fenced yard with lots of room to run and run and run. Going outside and running in the best cure for the zoomies.
