Hello, I'm Chestnut! I think it's important you know how smart I am right off the hop! I am pretty sure I can impress you in no time.

I am a sensitive dog when it comes to training. I don't like being yelled at but I respond really well to positive reinforcement training. I will work for food! I need direction and boundaries to be clear. And sometimes, I think I'm just a big puppy and get a little over stimulated so I like to go for a break or a nap when that happens.

I adore my people and will bond to whomever my person is quite quickly, especially if they have treats for me. I love to cuddle, I love walks, I love to play, I love almost everything! My foster mom says I love to chase cats a little too much though so if I'm going to live with one it will need to be one who is dog savvy and will put up with my antics. She says I play very nicely with her dog with the occasional gentle reminder to take a break when things get too exciting. I would prefer a house with another dog.

My foster mom has kept me busy learning how to relax, this is hard cause I like to go, go, go! She also taught me lots of tricks, even with hand signals to make things harder for me, I ace them!
