Hello world, the name is Skye and I'm so glad to meet you. I'm a sweet girl who loves nothing more than to be around my humans.
I came into care with an injured hip. Luckily, the nice folks at MUR took me in and helped me feel better! Their doctors completed a surgery called a "femoral head ostectomy". I'm not sure what that means, but the adoptions team will fill you in. I've even graduated from rehab with Head To Tail Pet Rehabilitation. I'm doing great and feeling better than ever!
The MUR team did discover that have some urinary incontinence, but please don't stop reading! My incontinence is very well-controlled, and I've had no accidents since starting my life-long medication (which is very affordable!).
While I've been in care I've been working hard on my skills. I'm already house and kennel trained and know Sit, Down, Leave it and Shake. My leash manners have been improving but I can still be reactive on leash so will need a family willing to continue to work on that with me.
I have made friends with other dogs but would prefer a slow and calm introduction. I am particular of the felines I want to share a home with so dog savvy cats with proper boundaries would be best. I love people so tiny humans and I get along great.
My foster family says I'm such a silly and sweet girl, I even love to smile to show you how happy I am when you get home! I melt into cuddles on the couch but am always up for an adventure. I'm pretty much the perfect mix of energy and chill!
