Zada Vizsla & Labrador Retriever Mix Madison, WI

Zada, is a 9 year old female Viszla mix who is seeking a new home which will provide a more quiet environment and opportunities for daily exercise.

Lots of changes have happened to Zada over the past couple of years with the arrival of children into the household. Her family has discovered that Zada prefers not to live with children. So the decision to find a new home for her has been very hard, but they know this is best for Zada. The often loud and unpredictable actions of young kids makes her nervous and anxious. She also is no longer the baby in the family and has to share mom and dad's attention which makes her really unhappy. She tends to avoid the children and has growled on occasion when they have made her comfortable. We feel like a home without children would be best.

Zada is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and has no health issues.

Zada does great with other animals, she has lived with both dogs and cats and seemed to enjoy her furry siblings. She is also very friendly with other animals she meets.


If given a choice Zada, would love to spend the day outside with her human. Her favorite place is running through the woods and stopping frequently to make sure you are still following behind.

Zada loves to play fetch with a ball, stick or toy. She enjoys catching snowballs in the winter and long walks in the summer. Her hobbies are stalking squirrels and bird watching. She enjoys large areas that give her space to run (she is extremely fast). She loves the dog park but is more interested in running and socializing with other humans than dogs. Zada knows how to sit, stay, lay down, come, give and wait.

We feel Zada would do best in a home with adults that want a fur baby to shower with love. Someone who is active and truly wants a close companion to share their day to day experiences. The person needs to be calm and love Zada for the quirky sweetheart she is.
