Pokey Wirehaired Terrier Mix Houston, TX

Pokey is a cute male wire-haired terrier mix about 4 years old and 13 pounds. We think he may be mixed with a Chihuahua but we're not sure. He was entrusted to us along with three other dogs by a loving owner who had to give them up because of life changes. Pokey has an interesting coat that is mostly white with a few black spots and black ears. We think he will probably shed a little bit but not much.

Pokey has a pleasing temperament overall. Upon a first meeting he is obviously a sweet creature although slightly timid and shy. He warms up in a short time and then wiggles and wags his entire body to be petted and held. He has a playful side and a quiet side that should fit well into just about any family situation. He's a neat little dog just waiting here for his destined person to arrive so that he can begin to explore the world and start his new life. Could you be that person for little Pokey? All the dogs are healthy, spayed/neutered, current on shots, parasite / heart worm disease tested (and treated if positive). All dogs are microchipped, groomed and trained to use a doggie door.
