Nalla will be a remarkable companion for the right home, she has some very specific needs to accomplish this.

Nalla has a good amount of separation anxiety, displays shyness and is mild-moderately flight-reactive to things that startle her.

She will need a confident, stable, predictable, compassionate and experienced owner/family.
She will need a home where the people in it are more calm than not. Able to give clear direction and boundaries and regular activities that will work her mind and body. Working hard, playing hard, getting clear and consistent guidance as to what is expected of her will serve to build her confidence and set her up to be an awesome canine citizen and ambassador for her kind.

It can’t be overstated - she needs a confident, stable and predictable owner/home, able to provide routine and structure and able to consistently work her mind and body.
The right owner will provide a very wide variety of experiences and activities. Including the help of professional trainers, classes, dog sports etc., if needed.

Nalla is as strikingly strong and agile as she is striking in her appearance. She’s lean and heavily muscled. She has a medium to high energy level. While her “medium” energy means that while she’ll need daily exercise, it won’t need to be hours and hours. Her “high” energy means that when she has pent up energy, she turns into an elite athlete in need of an outlet.
Point being, these same levels of energy and intensity, drive her insecurities and skittish nature. Hence, the need for an experienced and dedicated home able to address her needs.

Since coming into the rescue Nalla has been given great opportunities to develop her social skills. She’s been getting structure, exposure and guidance and has shown great resilience given her neglected start in life. She’s already demonstrated:
-Very good on-leash manners when meeting dogs of all sizes and people of all sizes.
-Appropriately social at enclosed off-leash dog parks with puppies and dogs of all sizes.
-However, she’s still a puppy and not aware of her own size. So reminders to take her excitement down a notch are needed.
-She lives with her foster family of 2 cats and 3 dogs.
-No Cat home(no exceptions) current foster has cats but they have to be supervised and distance.

Kennel training is a work in progress.

There is still hard work to be done, but she’s shown good progress. This leads us to believe that under the right guidance and in the right home, these issues can be greatly minimized and/or solved altogether as she matures. There’s no timeline that applies here. Just the expectation of consistency for the long haul.
