Meet Beethoven-ADOPTION PENDING

Beethoven could be that dream come true pup for retirees who love spending their time with a very sweet, loving and beautiful dog who is a very positive companion with a great sense of humor. Beethoven would also be wonderful with a younger family with older, dog-crazy kids.

Beethoven is a very sweet and happy Pomeranian/Cairn Terrier mix that exudes positive energy and a fun-loving personality. Beethoven is 9 - 12 months old and weighs just about 15 - 18 lbs lbs (perfect age and weight to participate in family fun like hiking and snowshoeing). He is a guy that exudes positive energy and a fun-loving and super-smart Terrier/Pomeranian personality.

Beethoven is currently being fostered in the Roswell, New Mexico area.. His excellent foster had the following to say about this wonderful guy:

I'm enjoying spending time with Beethoven so much! He's a truly sweet and kind guy who was a complete mismatch for his relinquishing home. Poor Beethoven was put in the position of having to share his family with an extremely dog-aggressive and territorial Corgi. Beethoven was a newcomer to the home and from the first moment was never accepted by the older dog. It was a kindness that the family made the decision to rehome Beethoven.
Beethoven has exhibited no behavioral issues at all since he's been in my home! He's a cuddly, well-behaved sweetie-pie that's great (and loves playing and snuggling) with my 2 small dogs and my 12 year old twin daughters. Beethoven is completely housetrained (only one accident on the first day he was with me) and very respectful of my home.
The only challenge we've had with Beethoven is that he hates to be in a crate. I wasn't aware of that at first. Now knowing his aversion for the crate, I've given him run of the house (with bedroom doors closed) and he's been great. I must admit that Beethoven sleeps at the foot of my bed...he's an awesome all-night sleeper that makes me feel very secure as we cuddle together.
Beethoven will be a gift to a loving family! My kids absolutely love this beautiful guy and I must admit that I do too!

Beethoven loves playing and is entertaining in his silly antics, young energy and the huge love he wants to show to everyone he knows. His story is all too common when things don't work out due to the aggression of another household dog. Beethoven's family couldn't ignore his adorable manner and desire to bond with anyone who would be his best friend. Beethoven's foster opened her home to him while waiting for this sweet guy's transport to a new life in Colorado.

Beethoven may initially be a bit disoriented due to lots of change..but give him a moment (a belly rub and yummy treats are helpful) and he inches just a bit closer to a welcoming lap. Before you know it he's gently loving you with a soft kiss. If you suggest a walk or backyard play to this sweet guy...off he goes for some serious fun.

Beethoven's rescuer (who quickly fell in love with this silly guy) recognized all of this and knew that there was a home out there that would love, respect and make this little guy a vital member of their family. Beethoven would do well with anyone who's invested in spending time with their pup. He's so pleasant and portable that he can be a part of any adventure....it can be a walk or hike, a visit with friends, a car ride, vacation or just an afternoon spending time together plopped down on the couch - all of this would speak to Beethoven's temperament. We aren't open to a home where everyone spends their days working full-time outside of the home....we'd like Beethoven to get more time and attention than is possible with that lifestyle.

Beethoven won't be neutered when he arrives in Denver - while we request it, there just aren't enough vets to cover the needs of the vast number of homeless dogs in this industrial area of New Mexico. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Beethoven's neuter and microchip after his arrival in Denver if our Denver vet is used.

Beethoven has the softest coat ever that you just want to pet all the time. He will therefore require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition (a supplement of salmon oil would be great) to keep his coat cottony-soft, healthy and matt-free.

Beethoven is arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 4/21/18. Applications are currently being accepted for our sweet pup. If interested in this adorable ...and very cuddly and loving best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit.

PLEASE NOTE: If you're truly interested in adopting Beethoven, please be sure to submit our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most circumstances, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit an adoption application. Thanks so much for choosing rescue.
