**Within days of arriving at Dolly's Legacy, it was discovered Abby is in the latter half of pregnancy. She delivered 9 healthy pups on March 31st and will stay with them until they are at least 8 weeks old, then she will be ready for her very own home**

This is Abby! She is what we call the “perfect compromise”. If you can't decide whether you want a big dog or small then she is the girl for you! Abby is pretty much the perfect dog- we really couldn't ask for better. She is potty trained and has great manners- you won’t find her chewing on anything she’s not supposed to. She also doesn’t bark. In fact, her foster family is starting to wonder if she even has a voice! Abby does think she is a lap dog and will happily invite herself onto your lap if you allow her. While she enjoys other dogs and cats, she is still not quite sure how to play but we can tell she wants to and are confident she will catch on soon enough! We feel confident that Abby would love to have other fur siblings and would do best with dogs around her size or more passive pets. Abby has free-roam of her foster home and has her very own dog bed she sleeps in. She prefers to lay next to her people so we put her bed right next to ours. She sleeps well all night with not a peep out of her. While she has not been exposed to small children we can't see any reason she wouldn't do well with them. This girl doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her squatty body and she really just wants someone to snuggle with. While we absolutely adore Abby we would love for her to find her very own furever home!

Abby is a Bassador (Labrador/Basset /mix) estimated date of birth of 2/27/13 and weighs 35 lbs. She will be spayed & microchipped after weaning her pups. She is vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
