Meet OLYMPIA

Just like the capitol of Greece, this doggy goddess is known for her beauty and games. She is Olympia! Olympia came from a southern high-kill shelter where she was at risk of being euthanized. She has been in one of our amazing foster homes for several months undergoing life-saving heart worm treatment and she is now ready for a home of her own. Olympia is a sweet, sweet girl who loves the people she knows and her foster dog siblings. She is a homebody and can be a little shy around new people and in new situations, but once she has some time to adjust she is confident, loving, and silly. Olympia has learned so much from the dogs in her foster home. They have helped her come out of her shell and she is happiest when she is around them. We would love for Olympia to have her own doggy sibling to play with (or siblings- the more the merrier!). Olympia also requires a home without cats. She is potty trained besides the occasional accident. She doesn’t always tell you when she has to go, but given routine let outs she does great. Olympia would love a fenced yard to play in but she does well on a leash, too. If you are looking for a fun companion, Olympia is your gal!

Olympia is a Golden Lab/mix, weighs 35 lbs, estimated date of birth of 2/14/17. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Olympia is undergoing life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. She will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure she is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records. If you are a renter, you must provide landlord contact information. For adoption guidelines and to submit an application, please go to this link: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will receive a reply from dollyslegacyadoptions@gmail.com within a few days of application submission, please make sure to check your spam folder if you do not see a reply within a week. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. PLEASE be sure to answer all questions completely or it will delay processing, be sure to include vet phone#. If you have any questions please email dollyslegacyadoptions@gmail.com .
