Peanut is a tender-hearted little girl who will become your shadow once she knows she is safe & loved. She is a retired breeding mama who has spent her life as caring for her babies, now it's her turn to be treated as royalty! She has so much love to give and has a full range of sounds when she is happy & joyful. She gets along well with dogs her size as well as cats (big dogs are a bit scary to her).  Peanut is tiny in size, but large in life giving her whole heart to her person. A secure fenced-in yard is required to keep her safe. You must have small breed experience and an excellent verifiable veterinary reference. Small children will overwhelm her, she would do best in an adult-only home.

Peanut is a purebred ShihTzu, weighs 10 lbs and was born 10-17-09. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, including pets (dogs not cats), to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference, home ownership & fenced yard. Home ownership is verified through court records.
