Yoshi Labrador Retriever & Cattle Dog Mix Athens, GA

Meet Yoshi! Yoshi is under a year old and should top out at about 50lbs. This precious Lab/Cattledog mix loves absolutely everyone and is excited for all the new things this world has to throw at him.

Yoshi is housebroken! He sleeps through the night but will kindly remind you that it’s time to get up if you’re one of those sleeper-inners. With his crate, he isn’t thrilled about the idea of entering, but throwing a treat in to entice the fellow does the trick. Currently, Yoshi lives with two other canine roommates and he gets along great with them! Both were pretty up front/in your face at the initial introduction, but Mr. Yoshi was very patient and allowed each pup their time to sniff it out. Not long after, the three of them were wrestling like they were good ol’ pals.

With a moderate energy level, Yoshi has a great time playing and then perusing, taking a nice trot in the yard to do some exploring. Once his foster siblings are done playing, he knows it’s time for naps. A trip to the dog park or some doggy play time should be sufficient for this guy. Mornings are when he is most energetic, so if you’re looking for that motivation to get up and out of bed, there you go!

This youngster is the sweetest cuddlebug you ever did snuggle with. He absolutely loves giving kisses and is still working on his manners so that his sweet kisses don’t turn into little nibbles. We all know those puppy teeth! With a little more time and consistency, he’ll have the basic commands down, keeping all 4 on the floor and general politeness. Overall, Yoshi isn’t a very needy dog as he’ll settle down in one of the dog beds to take a break and doesn’t have to be under your feet at all times. He’s also good at entertaining himself with toys, which is always a plus!

To ensure our dogs are placed in a safe environment, we require a home visit for all adoptions. Because of this, we typically only adopt to homes within 30 minutes of Athens, GA. If you are further away than that and are interested in one of our pups, please still fill out an application and we can discuss your options.
