Dog Story
November was Cash’s birth month and he is now a cool 11 years old! He is such a sweet and funny little brittany. Cash had belonged to a brittany breeder and was surrendered to the community animal control when his owner could no longer take care of him, and then ABR picked him up from the very nice people at animal control. He is groomed, has had his teeth cleaned, is chipped, neutered and up to date on all his shots and now Cash is ready for the next chapter in his life.
Because he had been kept in a kennel most of his life everything is new and exciting to Cash: a big backyard to run in, toys to play with, squirrels to chase - he even caught one the other day! As my vet said, Cash is living the good life now. But what Cash loves most of all about this new life is the love and attention he gets from his people. And what he wants most of all now is a new forever home for the holidays.
The transition to house dog has not been without a few small challenges. Cash loves being inside and he is content to curl up on his bed in the corner of the kitchen and just hang out. And he doesn’t chew on things - just his stuffed toys. But he is an accomplished counter surfer. He is “almost” house broken. We have to take him out regularly to avoid accidents - so I guess you might say that he has us well trained. I think his record so far is 4 days in a row without an accident in the house. The good news is that he does sleep throughout the night without having to go outside.
If you would like to take this sweet old lovable boy into your life please fill out an adoption application with ABR and give his foster family a call so we can talk. Because Cash is a senior dog he is eligible for the senior adoption program so if he is adopted by a senior there is no adoption fee.
