Hey friends! My name is Carlton. I’m a very handsome, very sweet 2-year-old lab mix who loves lots of naps and pets. I am still a little unsure of the city and do not like loud or unfamiliar noises so spend the majority of my day lounging in my crate or on my dog bed in my foster family’s laundry room which I have claimed as my own. I love treats and will sometimes explore other areas of the house just to get them. I get curious when I can’t see my foster mom and now that I am warming up, like to come out and spy on her when I think she isn’t looking. I am crate trained and have never had an accident in the house. I get very nervous when I go outside and do best pottying in a quite environment with few cars zooming by. I will need help learning basic commands and leash training but my foster mom thinks that once I adjust to my new life in Chicago learn quickly, especially since I love food! I really enjoy chewing my big bone and licking my Kong filled with peanut butter. My foster sister Maddie and I get along great and I wouldn’t mind having another dog around to teach me new tricks. Because I am so shy I would do best in a relaxed home that gives me plenty of time to warm up and get to know you. I currently weigh about 55lbs.
