Ben Poodle & Schnauzer Mix Phoenix, AZ

Ben in a 12-yr. old (who acts like a 6-yr old), 15 lb. Schnoddle (Poodle/Schnauzer) whose owner could no longer care for him. He is an active boy who gets along with other dogs, people and even cats! He is able to jump on furniture, beds, etc. so he doesn't act like a 12-yr old. He is housebroken and likes to sleep with his human. He does tend to want to bolt out open doors, so care must be taken when opening doors to the outside (other than the back yard). He loves people food, so you can't leave food on low tables or near the edge of the counter as he can jump up and get it. Although he is not food aggressive, he will nip if you try to take any human food away from him that he has snagged. Ben would make a great companion in many different environments. Ben loves to go for walks, but still needs some work on walking on a leash. He loves stuffed toys and carries a stuffed Hedgehog around his foster home. He is very cuddly and likes to stay close. He eats a combination of hard and soft food. Ben had his teeth cleaned and it was discovered he has a slight heart murmur but the Vet did not think he requires any meds.

Arizona Poodle Rescue is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located in the Phoenix and Tucson area.
