Note: Dogs are pack animals and do not do well away from other members of their pack. The adopter is the alpha member of the pack, and the dog or puppy needs as much one-on-one contact with the alpha as possible. For this reason, all Route 66 Rescue Inc. dogs are adopted to inside homes only. They must be on leash, or inside a secure fence when outside, and not left outside alone when no one is home. Invisible fencing does not qualify as protection since other animals and strangers have access to the dog. The dogs must be returned to Route 66 Rescue, Inc. if ever given up by the adopter. Bandit is a quiet boy. He's sweet and friendly, but is not pushy at all. He does like to snuggle with his human.

Bandit ignores other dogs for the most part, but he does growl if pushed too far by another dog, especially if it is larger than he. He protects his food from other dogs. Bandit would rather be an only dog in the household.
He is fine with older, mannerly children, as well as adults, but waits to be approached instead of seeking out attention. Bandit is the perfect dog. He has manners, a lovely disposition, and a sweetness about him. He will make someone an excellent family member.
