Meet Cora
Cora is a chihuahua mix that is about 2-years-old. She's a playful girl, but is still very unsure of humans. She is housebroken (only one accident in the house so far) and is on her way to being crate trained.
Cora is learning what it means when her fosters say "bed." They have also recently discovered that she is a paper chewer. She won't steal things, but if there is paper on the floor, she will destroy it.
She is living alongside her fosters, but still is unwilling to let them pet her. She gets excited when you come into the room and she will even go so far as to come up to you and touch you with her nose. With time and a whole lot of patience, she will gain her confidence with her forever family and join in on the fun.
She does just fine with an energetic home, but we think she would come around faster in a quieter home with older children that are willing to give her the space she needs to get comfortable. She is good with other dogs, and having a brother or sister would probably benefit her so she has someone to teach her that people are awesome and nothing to be afraid of.
She is not quite ready to attend adoption events yet, but if you would like to arrange a meet and greet and understand that she's not going to greet you with kisses and a wagging tail, please let us know!
