Meet Bruno and Bronwyn

A valiant woman from a rural Kentucky shelter rescued as many animals from euthanasia as she could by trying to place them in no-kill facilities. To help out, we agreed to take a young momma cat and her two kittens, after two others from the litter were euthanized for having weepy eyes. What we didn’t realize at first was that the momma was pregnant again, and she soon gave birth to Bruno and Bronwyn. We called this group the “Thumbs Family,” as they are polydactyl, or so-called Hemingway cats, meaning they have extra toes. This makes them extra cute!

Bronwyn’s outsized feet are perfect for batting around her toys. To boot (no pun intended), she has a stunning and unusual silvery coat and striking amber eyes. A lover through and through, she can be a little timid but overcame her fears to woo the judges in the Household Pet competition at a regional cat show, where she was a huge favorite.

Bruno’s feet could hardly be any bigger! Like his sissy, this is a stunning kitty with a shiny coat, in his case bright orange tabby and white. He amusingly pairs a big body with a round kitten-cutie face. A softie who enjoys being held, Bruno is sensitive to change but warms up at lightening speed when presented with a teaser. This active guy could play all day long. He would love to be the catcher on your team!

If you have room in your hearts and home for both Bruno and Bronwyn and all their many toes, and you have no dogs or plans to get one (they are terrified of them), come meet your kitties today! DOB August 2015
