Benji-*Adopted* Maltese & Poodle Mix Jamestown, ND

Benji is a male Maltese/Poodle mix who is 4 years old. He will need a completely fenced secured yard at his new home as he in a "runner" and a flight risk. The previous family who had him had trouble house training him as he would mark in the home. The foster family at our rescue is working with him on house and crate training offering positive reinforcement and rewards when going outside for bathroom breaks.Benji did have a urine panel test and has crystals in urine, therefore will need to be on a prescription diet pet food the rest of his life to keep them from returning and to keep him healthy. The food is a but more expensive, but will help with him having accidents in the house and crystals from returning. Benji has a great personality and seems to like everyone he meets. His foster home has other dogs, cats and a respectful pre school child. This pet will need grooming every few months, so the family who adopts him will need to budget and be award of the extra costs of grooming. Benji is afraid of thunderstorms and will shake and try to hide in small places. The foster home puts a Thundershirt o. Him which helps a great deal.
All medical work is completed prior to adoption including neutering, up to date shots, worming, flea and tick treatment, grooming, kennel cough, micro chip and vet exam.
Adoption fee with an approved application is $150 + tax. Cost to the rescue to complete medical work exceeds cost of adoption fee.
