Pixie Terrier Madison, WI

Pixie is a 4-year-old, 14-pound terrier mix who joined Underdog from an overcrowded shelter. Pixie's sweet personality is starting to shine in her wonderful foster home. We don't know what past trauma our little Pixie experienced, but she is gaining trust and confidence all the time. She absolutely LOVES her foster dad and car rides! Hands coming toward her now means a gentle touch or a treat is on the way. She's even beginning to understand the security of a warm lap. Big dogs aren't Pixie's thing, but a small, low key canine friend might be okay with her. Or, she could thrive in a home where she got all of the love as an only dog! It breaks our heart that this little girl must have had some bad things happen to her but we have promised her that now that she is an Underdog, happy days lie ahead. Dogs from Underdog Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:

Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella Vaccinations (as age appropriate-puppy adopters may need to cover some vaccine boosters OR they have the option of bringing the pet to Underdog for complimentary completion of these vaccines)
Heartworm Test (for dogs over 6mo)
Microchip
Deworming
Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian

Our adult dog adoption fee is $275. Our puppy (under 5 mo) is $350. Our senior dog (over 8 yrs) is $250.
